Preliminary Skit

To do list:

  1. Get in your group of 4, and look over the vocabulary list from the Preliminary Chapter.
  2. Brainstorm a scenario for your skit. It needs to be something that will allow you to incorporate words from the Preliminary Chapter Vocabulary.
  3. Write a rough draft of your skit (lines for each character); look at the Rubric to make sure you are including all the necessary things.
  4. Have Mr. Dwyer proofread your rough draft for errors or suggestions for improvement.
  5. Practice your skit with your group.
  6. Record your skit on video, or present it live to the class.

Rubric

  • Spanish only (5 pts)
  • Correct pronunciation (10 pts, each person graded separately)
  • includes introductions of all 4 people in the group, including names and where they're from (4 pts)
  • includes at least one introduction in the 3rd person ("Let me introduce you to...") (2 pts)
  • each person says at least 2 numbers higher than 12 (4 pts)
  • each person spells out at least one word (4 pts)
  • each person says a different season (4 pts)
  • each person says a different day of the week (4 pts)
  • no more than 5 Spanish words not in our book are used (2 pts)
  • each person says something related to the weather (4 pts)
We will work on this Monday and Wednesday in class, and present them Thursday.
