Tuesday & Wednesday - Students reset their Ribbon Hero score and started over, completing as many tasks and gaining as many points as possible. Total points for this 2-day quiz = 40; your grade will be equal to your total points gained divided by 2000.

Monday - We start by watching & discussing another video about internet safety. Then students finished with "Ribbon Hero", and previewed a sample student website.

Friday - We start by watching & discussing a video about internet safety. Then students continued with "Ribbon Hero". If you finished with "Ribbon Hero", check out a sample student website.

Wednesday & Thursday -
Students will complete all levels of "Ribbon Hero" to learn more tips/tricks for using Microsoft Office products.
  • Every time you get the "Level Up" notification, use the "Snipping Tool" (in the start menu) to capture the image
  • Save this image into a folder on your H: drive called "Ribbon Hero"
  • When you finish all 6 levels, upload this folder to your Google Drive and share it with me. 

Tuesday
- Students finished their Google Drawing, turned them in for voting at the end of the period. Finished early? Play "Ribbon Hero" in Microsoft Word. At the end of class we went on another virtual field trip (per 6 zoo, per 8 zoo) and voted (per 6 votes,  per 8 votes)  for our favorite animals.

Thursday & Friday - Students worked on their Google Drawings, watching the videos for tips and tricks to using Google Drawings. Finished early? Practice typing in MicroType or check out this student website.

Wednesday - Today students viewed the results (per 6, per 8) from yesterday and then worked on their Google Drawings.

Monday
 & Tuesday - Students finished their morphed creatures, uploaded them to their Google Drive (use the red "up arrow" next to the "Create" button) and shared the file (NOT in the folder) with mark_dwyer@ipsd.org. Make sure the name of the animal is at the top of the slide and the name of the creator (you) is at the bottom of the slide. Then we went on a virtual field trip (per 6 zoo, per 8 zoo) and voted (per 6 votes,  per 8 votes)  for our favorite animals.

Wednesday - Friday - On these days, Mr. Dwyer demonstrated tips and tricks for manipulating illustrations (clip art) quickly and easily (Mr. Dwyer created a Tiger-Eagle, or "Tigle"). Students created their own morphed creatures and then uploaded the powerpoint file to their shared folder in Google Drive.

Monday
 & Tuesday - Today students competed against people in their group ("list" for your class to the right). Use your best technique while typing; you will be graded based upon posture and technique.
